Round Formats

Mix formats round by round.

Each round of your trip can be a different game. Foursomes Friday morning, Four-Ball in the afternoon, Modified Stableford Saturday, Singles Match Play Sunday — the leaderboard aggregates across all of it.

Stroke Play

Individual

Gross strokes per hole. Lowest 18-hole total wins. Net = gross minus course handicap.

Match Play (Singles)

Individual

1-on-1, hole by hole. Match closes when the lead exceeds holes remaining (4&3, 5&4…).

Stableford

Individual

Points format: bogey 1, par 2, birdie 3, eagle 4. Net Stableford applies handicap first.

Modified Stableford

Individual

Custom table that rewards attack: eagle +5, birdie +2, par 0, bogey −1, double-or-worse −3.

Best Ball / Four-Ball

Team

Each player plays their own ball. Team hole score = lower of the two net scores.

Scramble

Team

Everyone tees off, captain picks the best drive, everyone plays their next from there.

Foursomes (Alternate Shot)

Team

One ball, one team. Partners alternate strokes; odd holes / even holes split tee shots.

Greensomes

Team

Both tee off, pick the better drive, alternate shots from there.

Pinehurst (Chapman)

Team

Both tee off, swap balls for second shot, pick one, alternate from there.

Bloodsome

Team

Reverse Scramble — captain picks the WORSE drive, alternate shots from there. Punishing.

Ryder Cup Classic

The definitive 5-session team match — three days, alternating formats, Singles Match Play to close.

Who it's for: Two teams (8-12 per side), three-day trip, everyone plays every session.

5 rounds across 2 courses. Every round scores different points — the weight of the day shifts as the trip unfolds.

Who it's for: Long-weekend trip with mixed formats and a big Singles finale.

Ballyneal Brigade

Team Best Ball Friday and Saturday. Optional Saturday afternoon round. Individual Championship Sunday.

Who it's for: Weekend trip that mixes team play with an individual finale.

  • Net-only leaderboard aggregated across the trip

Bandon Dunes Cup

Round-count-driven — pick 2–12 rounds, the template pre-populates the schedule. Singles Match Play always closes.

Who it's for: Bucket-list trips (Bandon, Streamsong, Cabot, etc.) — any length from a long weekend to a 10-day event.

  • Team rounds up front, medal round penultimate, Singles Match Play closes
